My name is Raju Gurung, and I am originally from Nepal, currently working in Malaysia. Back in Nepal, I used to be deeply involved in a religious group called “Sachai,” a sect that follows certain Hindu beliefs and practices. I followed it sincerely, believing it to be the truth.
However, when I came to Malaysia for work, everything changed. I found myself alone, without any fellowship or spiritual guidance. There was an emptiness in my heart, and I started searching online for something meaningful — something real that could connect me to God.
One day, while scrolling through TikTok, I came across a short video by Hope of Life. The video was about how we can grow in God, and it caught my attention. The message was simple, yet deeply powerful. It made me think about my life, my beliefs, and my spiritual direction.
I liked the teaching, and I wanted to know more. I reached out to them, and they kindly responded and connected with me on WhatsApp. I shared with them that I had a hunger to grow spiritually and to understand the truths they were sharing in their videos.
Soon after, they invited me to join their online fellowship. Through regular teachings, prayer, and the support of believers, I began to understand the truth about God more clearly. They also sent me some online books and materials that helped me read and understand the Bible in a simple and clear way.
As I learned more about the Bible and who Jesus is, I came to a life-changing realization — that there is only one true Creator, and He alone is worthy of worship. I decided to leave behind all forms of idol worship and religious traditions that do not lead to truth. I have now committed my life to the living God, and I want to continue growing in His Word and in fellowship with true believers.
I thank God for using technology, even TikTok, to bring the light of the Gospel into my life. I am also thankful to the Hope of Life team for guiding me, supporting me, and walking with me in this new journey of faith. My heart’s desire now is to know Jesus more and to live a life that pleases Him.
